Happy Mondays Evening Classes by the Happy City Initiative - 8 week course in St Pauls, City of Bristol

This autumn the Happy City Initiative is running an 8-week evening class in the Happiness Habits, a scientifically-grounded programme of simple actions which grow well-being and build resilience to stress & depression. Each session involves a mix of activities, conversations, creativity and reflection on themes such as positive emotions, optimism, meaning & purpose and strengths. There’s also a habit to practise between sessions so that by the end of the 8-week programme you will have mastered the tools that raise and recover well-being and experienced a positive change. The course trainer is one of the UK 's first positive psychologists Miriam Akhtar - the co-presenter of the Happiness Training Plan, author of Positive Psychology for Overcoming Depression and a contributor to the World Book of Happiness. Miriam is also a Bristol Happiness Champion. Happy Mondays will be held every Monday at the Unitarian Chapel, Brunswick Square , Bristol from September 30 from 7pm-8.30pm to November 18th. The course costs £200 (concessions £160) or be quick and grab an early bird rate of £160 until September 16. Concessions are available to those on low income on request.
